Learn to Meditate.
Vedic meditation is a simple, effortless, natural technique. It is practiced 20 minutes twice a day, with the eyes closed, sitting comfortably. With this technique, we rest the mind, allowing the body to follow.
What is Vedic Meditation?
-
Deriving from the land known as India today, the English meaning of the word ‘Veda’ means ‘to know.’ The Veda is referred to as the knowingness of life itself. It unfolds the wisdom of creation and how to live in harmony with Nature, your very own Self.
Although Vedic Meditation has its root in ancient Vedic philosophy, it is not tied to any religion or belief system. It doesnt require anything, but draws on the ancient wisdom of the Vedas, which is a body of knowledge rather than a religious work.
This meditation technique focuses on the experience of deep rest and inner awareness, which can be practiced by anyone, regardless of their cultural or religious background. It's emphasis is on the personal experience and natural mental processes, rather than on following dogma or belief.
-
It is a style of meditation whereby one’s mind moves beyond thought altogether with the use of a personalized mantra. During this process, one rests deeply, allowing the body to dissolve stress, bringing greater coherence to the body and mind. It is designed for anyone, and doesn't require any effort, concentration, or control.
The mantra's used in Vedic meditation are chosen for their vibrational quality and effectiveness in calming the mind, rather than having any meaning.
It requires nothing externally, just oneself. It can be done anywhere, anytime.
-
